Six Niagara College students are now provincial medal winners after success at the 26th annual Ontario Technological Skills Competition. Known as the largest skilled trades competition in Canada, the Ontario Technological Skills Competition took place May 4-6 at RIM Park in Waterloo. Students from the College’s Canadian Food and Wine Institute dominated the Postsecondary Baking and Culinary Arts categories, capturing two medals in each – including gold.

In most endeavors, concentration is quite helpful. But that may not be the case when it comes to investing. In fact, if your portfolio contains too high a concentration of a single investment, you could run into trouble. Fortunately, it’s not hard to recognize the signs of “overconcentration” — and once you do, you can take steps to correct it.

I have been part to the group over 3 years.... I was motivated to be part of this group to involved with professionals in my community that I would come to know and trust to refer my clients too.

Niagara Community Foundation has posted the 2014 Annual Report. Another great year of working with amazing donors and volunteers who are supporting our work with charities across Niagara.

In June each year, Ontario celebrates seniors and recognizes the contributions they make to our communities. June 2015 will mark the 31st annual Seniors’ Month. This year’s theme is “Vibrant Seniors, Vibrant Communities.”
