Niagara Region Public Health has teamed up with researchers at the University of Toronto and The Hospital for Sick Children who developed the CARDTM System-a better way to prepare Niagara students for their vaccination experience. 

Dr. Johan Viljoen, a long-time Niagara resident and experienced and visionary physician leader well known for the passion and dedication he brings to the provision of quality, safe, patient-centred care, will assume the key position of Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President Medical for Niagara Health on a permanent basis.

The Canadian Food & Wine Institute Innovation Centre will host the Niagara Food & Beverage Summit on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 at the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus. The event will discuss previous, current, and future trends in the food and beverage industry and make educated conclusions with industry experts.

The Rotary Club of Welland held its 4th Annual Bocce and Past Night on Wednesday September 18th at Casa Dante.

The City of Welland has opened its fifth Industrial Park on the north end of the city. The new Industrial Park is located on River Road and Downs Drive and has quick and easy access to Highways 406 and 140.
