Sandy Fairbairn has been taking photographs of Niagara for over forty years, focusing on the people and places around him. His images of Niagara stretch back to the 1970s, and some of the scenes presented in Welland: Time Present Time Past will be shown in the Rose City for the very first time.

Many of these images recall the industrial history of the region, and others chronicle the ebb and flow of the downtown urban life of Welland. Fairbairn combines an historical awareness with a playful eye; evocative scenes and vibrant colour often meet in his visual histories.

Many of us escape the cold winter weather by visiting the islands.  These trips can be restorative and  help us bridge the gap until the warm weather returns to Niagara.  To bring some of the vivid colour of the islands home, check out the local markets where you will find canvas artwork treasures. These canvases are usually rolled up by the artist for easy storage in your suitcase during your trip back home.

Our Gift Voucher Sponsorship Program is essential to the delivery of our various initiatives that provide clothing and household goods to those in need in our community.

These coupons sponsored by our Renouveau Supporting Members and Corporate Partners are distributed via  local agencies such as The Hope Centre and the Welland Heritage Council and Multicultural Centre. The recipients use them to purchase clothing and household goods in our Renouveau LIH Donate Thrift Store.

The Gift Vouchers are used to facilitate the following Renouveau services:
