In a Wednesday morning visit to the St. Catharines Site, Ontario’s Minister of Health announced nearly $1.7 million for facility improvements at Niagara Health. As we move into 2020, RE/MAX is calling for a levelling out of the highs and lows that characterized the Canadian housing market in 2019. Healthy price increases are expected next year, with the Re/Max 2020 Housing Outlook Report estimating a 3.7 per-cent increase in the average residential sale price.

The City of Welland has moved up four spots to rank 16 out of 55 participating municipalities in the recently published Public Sector Digest 2019 Open Cities Index survey results. Welland now sits at the 71 percentile for the 2019 survey, up from the 67 percentile in 2017.
