This month the Foundation celebrates 15 years of working with amazing volunteers, donors, charities and staff to build and support smart and carry communities. We've seen the impact of our grants grow from $6,500 in 2001 to more than $1.11 million in 2014. These grants support charities in all sectors in all communities across Niagara. And we've seen our endowment funds grow from $200,000 in 2000 to more than $28 million this month. Donors from all walks of life and from coast to coast to coast here in Niagara have supported our work.

I am a new member of the Pelham Referral Group, joining just a week ago. As a Pelham native, and new business owner I was motivated to join the PRG because I was impressed with the members knowledge of each other’s businesses. This allowed them to be confident they were making referrals to others who provide the same quality service. As a Naturopathic Doctor, I learn a lot about what is going on in my patient's lives. Therefore, it is important to me to be able to suggest other professionals I am confident will provide the same standard of care I do. The PRG is a great way for me to know my patient's, when referred, will be in good hands.

The Welland Museum has just completed a four month partnership with students from the New Media Web Design Program at Niagara College. Graduating students Myles Fisher and David Grobbo have planned, developed and implemented a new website for the museum under the instruction of Mark Hardwick.

The fourth term project is a great accomplishment for the students as it has allowed them to demonstrate their skills acquired from the program, while gaining both experience and exposure in the industry.

Springtime is almost here. If you’re like many people, the arrival of spring means it’s time to spruce up your home. But why stop there? This year, consider applying some of those same spring-cleaning techniques to your investment portfolio.

Since 2002, the Foundation has raised almost $180,000 to send more than 2,000 kids in Niagara to summer camp. We've used the funds to provide bursaries for campers to go to one of 10 camp providers across Niagara. We've just launched our campaign for 2015 and are asking for your help.
