Despite its vast presence in our local and global communities, many are still unsure what Rotary is. So, what is Rotary anyway? The first Rotary Club was started in 1905, in Chicago, Illinois, by a small group of businessmen who wanted to do more for their community. They took as their motto “Service above Self” and adopted the cogwheel as their logo. The name Rotary comes from the fact that they would rotate the meetings among their homes

Running is a great form of cardiovascular exercise with many health benefits such as building healthy bones, strengthening muscles, helps maintain a healthy weight, strengthens your lungs, helps to relieve stress and gives you an boost in overall mental health.

One Saturday June 20th the PanAm Torch began its visit to Niagara with a community celebration at the Welland Market before visiting the Welland International Flatwater Centre, the canoe/kayak – sprint venue for the TORONTO 2015 PanAm Games.

This year’s inaugural Spring Fling in our Hunters Pointe community was a well attended event with over 250 people attending. Guests were treated to a bar-b-que and drinks and were invited to tour our newest model homes in Ontario’s finest Adult Lifestyle Community.

Niagara College kicked off its 2015 Spring Convocation Ceremonies on Tuesday, June 15 with the help of two distinguished leaders in the Niagara community – Janet St. Amand, chief executive officer of YMCA Niagara, and Debi Pratt, wine industry leader and public relations specialist.
