What is Niagara Community Bikes we asked? Colin Ferguson was happy to share his vision of the new social enterprise he is launching to serve our Niagara community.

"I am starting and hoping to build Niagara Community Bikes in our region.  The goal is providing the community with affordable means of transportation and moving on education and a place for people to work on their own bikes.

The Welland Museum has just completed a four month partnership with students from the New Media Web Design Program at Niagara College. Graduating students Myles Fisher and David Grobbo have planned, developed and implemented a new website for the museum under the instruction of Mark Hardwick. 

The fourth term project is a great accomplishment for the students as it has allowed them to demonstrate their skills acquired from the program, while gaining both experience and exposure in the industry.

Since 2002, the Foundation has raised almost $180,000 to send more than 2,000 kids in Niagara to summer camp. We've used the funds to provide bursaries for campers to go to one of 10 camp providers across Niagara. We've just launched our campaign for 2015 and are asking for your help.

The Many Hands Project Reveal Day will be a carnival inspired community event, signalling the completion of the renovation to Strive Niagara. Everyone that contributed to the project will have the opportunity to view the success of the project and see where their generous contributions went. We encourage everyone to come out and see the positive change that the project will bring to the communities of Niagara.

I've had the pleasure to visit Casa Dante Lodge at 34 Lincoln St. West in Welland many times. This time it was a bit different as I met with current Club President Vito Tofano. He has been president for 5 years and has led the club out of some difficult times to the current state as a very busy organization.

NEW CULTURE COMMITTEE
