CHORUS NIAGARA 12th Annual Singathon

Chorus Niagara holds the 12th annual Singathon fundraiser to raise $55,000.00 to support the organization's 5 concert performance season at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in downtown St.Catharines. Funds are also used to enhance youth initiatives including the Robert Cooper Choral Scholars ProgramThe Side-by-side High School Chorale, and the Chorus Niagara Children's Choir.

The public is invited to attend this free 5-hour choral marathon. The choir sings a variety of selections from its repertoire with guest conductors from the community. Artistic Director and Conductor Robert Cooper, CM will lend the celebrity conductors a helping hand, teaching the basics of conducting before setting the community leader off to conduct Niagara's premiere 100-voice ensemble. This year celebrity conductors include Brock University President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Gervan Fearonand Giant FM 91.7 Classic Rock's Brian Salmon.  

Members of Chorus Niagara Children's Choir performs for 30 minutes at noon.

After a thrilling second season in the FirstOntario Performing Arts centre in downtown St.Catharines, the joy continues as Chorus Niagara embarks on the third season in the world-class Partridge Hall with a richly varied, creative and stimulating lineup including; Last Light Above the World: A War Litany, Big Band Christmas, St. Matthew Passion, All Aboard!, and Amadeus.
