Fabulous Fenwick Lions - Walk for Guide Dogs
Lions Foundation of Canada is a unique national charity that trains Dog Guides in six distinct programs to help Canadians with disabilities.
Each Dog Guide costs $25,000 to raise and train but through this program they are provided at no cost to qualified applicants. With the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides and generous sponsorships we endeavour to achieve the necessary funding essential to the Dog Guides program. The Lions Foundation of Canada does not receive any government funding and relies solely on donations and fundraising events to make these programs a success. The Pet Valu walk for Dog Guides is the largest walk of its kind in Canada it is held in more than 200 communities and is organized by local Lions Club volunteers.
Thanks to sponsors at both the national and local levels, all proceeds go directly towards the training of Dog Guides for Canadians with disabilities.
