Probus Club of Pelham: David Galbraith "The History and Cultural Landscape of the Royal Botanical Gardens"

David is Royal Botanical Gardens’ head of science. A wildlife biologist by training, he  oversees the library, archives, herbarium, and RBG research. Since 2007 he has led the development of the Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System park alliance, for which he was named Hamilton Environmentalist of the Year in 2010. He has always had a deep love of biology, history, and cultural heritage. David is an adjunct professor in the biology department of McMaster University, a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and a Fellow International of the Explorers Club.

PROBUS is a local, national and international association of retired and semi-retired professional and business people who come together to enjoy a speaker series, to meet others with similar  interests, to make new friends and to expand their interests.  PROBUS clubs are non-profit and are not involved in fundraising.

You are welcome as a guest at any general meeting of the Club, held on the 4th Thursday of the month. Meetings are held at the Royal Canadian Legion on Hwy 20  from 10:00 am to 11:30 am with coffee and tea served at 9:30 am.
