Random Act of Kindness Day 2016
Random Act of Kindness Day is approaching!
Help a coworker with a project. Dedicate a song to someone on the radio. Even help a friend take out the trash. This November 4, it's a day for kindness across Niagara and Ontario as we celebrate this year's Random Act of Kindness Day!
Since 2011, the Niagara community has responded overwhelmingly to Random Act of Kindness Day, paying little acts of kindness forward in all corners of the Region, and this year the Niagara Community Foundation is encouraging everyone to keep up that spirit of kindness. A random act of kindness could be as simple as donating to a food bank or putting a treat in your child's lunch box, but every random act of kindness puts a smile on someone's face.
"Sometimes it's the little acts of kindness that can brighten your day," says Niagara Community Foundation Executive Director Bryan Rose. "Niagara is a kind place year-round, but the community has always embraced the spirit of RAK Day, and we're encouraging everyone to get involved this year and spread even more kindness around."
With the generous support of our sponsors, the Niagara Community Foundation is able to provide RAK cards to all those wanting to participate. Leave a card behind with your random act of kindness and encourage the recipient to pay it forward!
You can pick up your RAK cards starting today at any Meridian Credit Union branch.
Don't forget to follow us on Twitter at @RAKDayNiagara and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/rakdayniagara! And if you're interested in joining the conversation on social media, we'll be Tweeting with the hashtag #RAKDay.
See you on November 4!
