Warm Welcome at Winter Orientation

Niagara College will welcome over 1,700 students as Winter Orientation kicks off the Winter semester this Friday, Jan. 12.

Introducing January-start students to college life, Orientation will kick off at the at the College’s Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake Campuses at 9 a.m.

Campus tours will be available at the Info Desk of both campuses from 9:30 - 10 a.m., and 11:30 – noon.

Students can also visit the Student Services Fair at the Welland Campus (Learning Commons) and the NOTL Campus (Student Commons) from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m to learn more about the many services offered to students on and off-campus.

Program information sessions offer students opportunities to find out more about their academic programs, get a head-start on the curriculum, and meet faculty and their peers. They will be held both campuses from 10 - 11:30 a.m. Co-op information sessions will take place from 11:30 a.m. - noon, and Blackboard tutorials – to learn how to navigate the college’s portal for grades, fees, admissions and timetables – will be available at both campuses from 1-1:30 p.m. Visit orientation.niagaracollege.ca/schedule for times, locations and more details.

Students can also enjoy live music and free lunch at both campuses from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Additional activities will be held following Orientation Day, including pub nights, karaoke and more, organized by Niagara College’s Student Administrative Council.
The College’s International Division will present additional activities as part of International Student Orientation from January 11-13 including, information sessions, fairs and a visit and tour of Niagara Falls.
